Multicrop (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. began as a small enterprise over thirty years ago. Initially the company sold a single product - Maxicrop seaweed plant food - and operated out of a small garage in Heathmont, Victoria. The founders of the business, Ron and Lorna Pearce, have built Multicrop (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. into a prosperous company which produces, markets and distributes a range of garden-friendly products throughout Australia and increasingly to overseas markets. The Multicrop brand is now one of the most widely recognised and trusted in the country.
Multicrop (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. has continued to introduce innovative and garden-friendly products to their range. Perhaps the most exciting introduction was the launch in 1997 of Multiguard Snail and Slug pellets. In 1989, Ron and Lorna purchased Brunnings
Garden Products in Victoria and Tasmania. This purchase allowed the company to expand its
range much wider than the seaweed and pyrethrum based products that had formed the
foundation of the business. The wider product base increased Multicrop (Aust.) Pty. Ltd.'s
market share, especially in Victoria, and the company moved into its current premises at
926 Mountain Highway in Bayswater in 1991.
